NEW YORK, NY - American Express afferma che il presidente Ed Gilligan è morto improvvisamente venerdì dopo essersi ammalato mentre volava su un aereo aziendale per New York.
La società afferma che il dirigente di 55 anni stava tornando su un jet aziendale da un viaggio d'affari a Tokyo quando improvvisamente è svenuto. L'aereo ha effettuato un atterraggio di emergenza ma tutti i tentativi di rianimare Gilligan non hanno avuto successo.
Gilligan ha iniziato a lavorare presso American Express Co. 35 anni fa come stagista ed è diventato presidente della società di carte di credito nel 2013.
